Job Title: Service Manager

Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to join our team. The Service Manager will oversee the service department, ensuring that customer needs are met with exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, a customer-oriented mindset, and the ability to effectively manage staff, processes, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and train service staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
    • Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and employee engagement.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement professional development plans for team members.
  2. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality service to all customers by implementing best practices and maintaining service standards.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  3. Operations Management:

    • Oversee daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor service workflow and resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
    • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and customer interactions.
  4. Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement in service delivery and implement necessary changes.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and guidelines for the service team.
    • Analyze service metrics and reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  5. Collaboration and Reporting:

    • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and product development, to ensure alignment and support overall company objectives.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on service performance, trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
  6. Budget Management:

    • Manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and appropriate allocation of resources.
    • Review procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies for the service team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role, with experience in the HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other service management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
